Death of Pete Cristiani

Cristianifamily15From: Victoria B. Rossi

My uncle Pete Cristiani passed away in the wee morning hours of June 4th (around 2:45 AM). Pete had several close calls in the past months and never really fully recovered. He would have been 91 years old on June 24 and passed away at the Sarasota Hospice Center of double pneumonia and heart-related complications. Pete knew his time was near and asked my sister Bonnie to contact St. Martha’s for a priest to give him his Last Rites. Fortunately, the young Polish priest arrived in time before he was transferred to Intensive Care. Pete was surrounded by family members: his children, sister Corky, niece Bonnie and Carin. I was not there. Presently, at Toale Bros. Funeral Home. Arrangements will be made for Funeral Mass at St. Martha’s in the next week or so.

Aunt Corky is the last living member of the Riding Cristiani Family. Oh my goodness, life is short and in the end not so pretty. Thankfully, Corky, four years younger than Pete, is in good health.

My best to one and all, God bless,

Vickie
