Our New Space: Fern Street Circus
Community Central
Fern Street Community Arts (and Fern Street Circus) is honored to be one of 67 San Diego arts organizations awarded grants from Prebys Foundation. We are particularly pleased to be part of athe former Central Elementary School in City Heights – we’re in a 2,500 square foot auditorium with wood floors, natural light, 20 foot ceilings and a stage. A great place to teach, rehearse and perform circus (and other art forms!).We moved in in September 1st, and have an additional 4 classrooms for teaching, counseling, storage and an office.Fern Street will be here for 3 – 5 years as San Diego Unified School District undertakes a redevelopment project centered on affordable housing for school faculty, staff and retirees. We hope this will lead to a permanent home for the Circus!!
