Peru Circus Parade

It’s an age-old tradition where clowns, wild animals, jugglers and the community come together for one week in July to celebrate a rich circus history.

Downtown Peru is temporarily converted to an amusement park-like atmosphere, and one of the biggest events is the circus parade. Streets are blocked off from West Main Street and through South Broadway. And each year, people near and far come out in the early morning hours to grab the perfect spot to view the parade.
